The gold's Gym Trainer 480 is a very low cost treadmill, and yes, when comparing it to other treadmills under $400 it's very impressive. However, still it would be wise to spend more on a sturdier model if you want it to last long at all. The warranty on this model covers you for 5 years on the motor, and 90 days on parts and labor. The motor is 1.5 CHP. This is much smaller than the standard, and is not meant to hold up to much beating. It's meant for light walking, not running. The treadmill just can't hold up to a lot of running. The belt is 18" x 50" which is small, but if you're small, it may not feel too cramped. It has a small LCD window, some workout programs, a heart rate monitor, and a air cushioning system.
